Red Hot lily and purple aster both popped their first blooms today... seems early for the aster. Kelly has been hanging in the 'Henge all day, tossing rocks around. I tried to thin out the flax and poppies but it seemed too much like killing unnecessarily, and they all seemed to be doing ok, so I decided to let them fight it out among themselves.
killing unnecessarily? survival of the fittest I guess. lol !
ReplyDeleteoh, and... I have never grown Aster but Judy does and she doesn't let hers bloom until much later. She pinches the new buds off when they are tiny until.... I don't know when but it is a specific time.
