Best of July 2011

It was hard to pick a favourite of all the pictures I took in July, but this daylily stands out.  I planted a mix of 6 daylilies in the spring of 2010 and I have 2 patches of this colour.  In the fall we'll put them together by the golden coreopsis.  Some exciting first time blooms this month: Kelly's voodoo lily, our wisteria, and America lily.  Danielle's temporary lily garden out back gave us lots of variety.

Daylilies Blooming

Today the Frans Hals daylilies started blooming, as well as the red Walmart daylilies planted with the Stello de Oro's.  Ally's daylilies are also blooming.

Digby Daylilies

Early yellow daylilies - these are tall and bring the first real splash of colour out by the road.  (They came from one of Kelly's relatives in Digby.)
